BCC Upper eyelid
This man came in with a BCC of the upper eyelid. This is a very dangerous sight threatening situation, as removal WILL compromise protection and integrity of the cornea long term.
As you can see, mohs surgery outlined the extent of the BCC, which took out skin, precious pretarsal and preseptal orbicularis muscle as well as conjunctiva and tarsus.
I did do a reconstruction last Friday, and this is what it looks like at the end of surgery. Over time, the lid will lift, and I am hopeful the cornea will be protected.
The key here is to GET IN EARLY.
That means, early diagnosis.
