Facial Nerve Palsy can lead to difficulty closing the eyelid, which often causes complications like corneal exposure, dryness, and irritation. When the eyelid can’t fully protect the eye, the cornea can suffer serious damage. To correct this problem, I first removed the upper eyelid gold weight (a useless implant) an repositioned the upper eyelid.
Then I undertook medical & lateral tarsorrhaphy.
He still can't close his eye but the cornea is happy ⭐️
